One of my favourite illustrations from my first published children's book, Snow Party. For the point in the story when all the snow people sat down to have a feast, I wondered what they would eat. The obvious answer to me was ice and snow. As the saying goes: you are what you eat. I figured that a snow chef slicing a block of ice as though it were roast beef would be a particularly delicious visual pun.
